Our Current Teachers
Chapman: Hi! My name is Chapman and I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. My interests consist of Ice hockey, cycling, travelling and watching Japanese animation (Dragon ball is my favorite!). My favorite foods are Sushi, Kebab, Ramen, and Thai food (all of it). I am a graduate of Simon Fraser University and have also obtained my TESOL certificate. My life’s philosophy is “burn the boats”. Of course, not literally but figuratively. This basically means that you must absolutely not back out of anything that you have committed yourself to. On that note, let’s have fun learning English together!
Araceli Spanish teacher: Hi, my name is Araceli. I was born in Mexico City but I have always liked to see places where I could use English. My first chance was in the United States. That trip inspired me to learn more about different cultures while having fun. It also showed me that there were other doors for me to open to so many other things.I have lived in Kyoto Japan for……years. Living in Japan has given me the chance to share with many people of different backgrounds my rich Spanish language heritage. Whether you like the flamengo, the tango, traveling, or just new experiences, I am sure we will have a great adventure together.
Hi, my name is Natalia. I came to Japan from Russia years ago to learn the Japanese language. I am happy to have a chance to know more about Japanese people and Japanese culture directly and, in my turn, I would like to offer you a Russian language course that will let you get acquainted with Russian culture, for as far as I know a lot of Japanese are interested in close relationships between our countries.
代表 坂本 Founder:
I founded this language school back in 1994 after I came back from an around-the-world bicycle trip.
It’s wonderful that you can communicate with anyone on this planet. People in the USA gave me overnight hospitality during my crossing from LA to New York.
A sheepkeeper in southern Argentina prepared my dinner using up one of his sheep. Great laughter came everyday in eastern Europe.
I should shut up now. If you are looking for something new just come and talk to us. We are going to have a good time talking to you.
Hello, my name is Yoko. I’m an administrative assistant/support teacher. I’m originally from Niigata Prefecture and I used to live in the UK for several years. I have also lived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Since my childhood, I’ve always been interested in different cultures and languages, and learning English has certainly helped me broaden my horizons. I’m still a learner myself and I hope that I can help fellow learners here at PEA. It’s not always easy to start learning a new thing or to stick to it, but you only live once, so why not make the most of it!
